Aguilar OBP-3TK Onboard Bass Preamp

I’ve just wired up this preamp. It took me 2 hours for a novice being careful. It worked first go! Aguilar have wiring diagrams for many different use case options. I picked a master volume, blend, passive tone switch, stacked bass volume and a switched low/high mid knob. You may have to buy pots depending on what you want to implement. It cames with a toggle switch and three 50k pots. I didn’t use any of the pots supplied as I want a very specific 5 knob set up.

The tonal options are awesome. It’s like having a bass head on your bass. I’m going to have to relearn how to play! It gives great flexibility to change sounds quickly between songs or in the middle of a song. I coupled this with a pair of Aguilar DCB pickups and am delighted with the result. I recommend this highly.
