I'm not musical expert, but overall, it didn't give me what I needed. Playing guitar through this is not quite what it's made for (imho), especially when it's then heavily distorted. It's very rounded. Maybe for clean guitar - a different story, but I also compared it to HA73 EQ which costs less and offers way more sound shaping functionality - that one you can buy and be more ensured that it will be used for more use cases.
Singing was a secondary thing for me, so I didn't tried that since my primary need is not met.
Trim has nice feel and a small notch in the middle that helps to feel where "0" is.

Nice warm and smooth sound. It even makes my Axe FX sound warmer and less digital. Recordings with miced acoustic instruments (guitar & bouzouki) sound great and direct bass and electric guitar sound very good too.

For my years I used the unison preamps on my Apollo and then switching to this I felt a world of difference. I realized straight away that this was the character I was after. You can hear the slight saturation that adds high end without getting too harsh and the slight compression. I also realized that I could hear the difference between my mics a lot clearer. Love it!
