Deep cup flugelhorn sound on the trumpet!

If you are looking for that dark flugelhorn sound on your trumpet, this is the mouthpiece for you! Yes, it is deeper than most trumpet mouthpieces, but it is really effective.

Pros: deep cup flugelhorn sound on your trumpet, perfect larger rim with a great rim contour, easy to play

Cons: it doesn't give a "bright" trumpet tone (but you got it for the "dark" flugelhorn sound, yes?), sustaining endurance in the upper register is less easy

Conclusions: if you want the "flugelhorn" tone on your trumpet, this is the mouthpiece for you - Best Brass has a whole range of trumpet mouthpieces in the 1 rim size which is perfect for me!

After 3 months of using this mouthpiece I can truly say that this is really a unique piece that gets exactly the sound and tonality that I want - thanks Best Brass - you are the best!

Great mouthpiece for the right job!

This is a great mouthpiece.. if you know why you buy it.
It gives you a very full and round flugel/cornet sound on your regular trumpet. It is a VERY deep mouthpiece, but because the mouthpiece is quit short it does not affect your tuning.

I use a Best Brass TP-1C as my main mouthpiece and switching between these 2 is very very easy: Both pieces FEEL the same: Very comfortable!

Ich wollte ein Mundstück das mir ermöglicht einen schönen weichen Ton zu produzieren. Das unterstützt das TP-1X mit dem recht tiefen Kessel wunderbar. Zusätzlich spielt es sich sehr angenehm und ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Wer mit dem Durchmesser klar kommt sollte es mal antesten. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.
