The Illuminators are very similar to my crunchlab+liquifire pickups but they still hold their own unique sound. A very tight low end, creamy cleans and a lead tone that sits perfectly in a mix, perfect for jazz fusion too and metal. They provide me with the power to produce the sound I have always wanted in pickups (both neck+bridge illuminators) that being said, the crunchlab+liquifire still hold their own if you still want a john petrucci, jazzy or a very technical death metal/djent sound. I would buy these pickups again if my 2nd guitar didn't already have the crunchlab+liquifire.
