DR Strings Hi-Beams MR6-130

I bought this set to use in my 5 string fender jazz bass. They don't make a 5 string E-C set, so I went for the 6 string, and saved the low B for the future. The sound is what I'd expect for DR High beams (I have the same set in a 4 string P bass), full and bright, classic stainless steel sound. They do feel a bit harsh, like regular SS strings, but you get used to that quickly. Tension feels a bit lower than Nickel, which is great for me. I don't see myself using other strings in the near future.

These strings sound and feel great and stay in tune for a long time. Even after they are broken in, they have a satisfying clarity and punch.

I got them for a recording session and loved the sound.
