A while ago I discovered these picks. I really liked them.
Then one evening I was reading an article about how picks effect the sound, and I took it with a pinch of salt. So I got a 1mm standard Dunlop nylon pick, and a 1mm one of these and tried them side by side. I was very surprised to hear that these were much brighter on the acoustic.
So the next day I went to my local store and bought a heap of picks all different thickness and material.
In the end... I came back to this as the best all rounder. Its not quite as bright and flappy as a celluloid pick, and much brighter than other nylon picks. BUT... the grip bit makes this best.
Its fantastic the way they have done these! Ya just don't drop them!... even when sweaty :) ... I just love them. Which is why I bought the big pack of them.
What can I say? Love the thickness and love the Max grip. But still it doesn't last very long, but you will probably loose your picks before they wear out... Great price also.
Each to their own but these picks really suit me. The thickness is just right for my picking style and the grip is fantastic. The price that these are available at means that you never need to fear of dropping them on stage or arriving at a gig pickless because you can have so many in your guitar case.
They've changed the grip from the older type. Great for lead, rhythm and acoustic. Only downside is that they are Black. I'm sure they did these in yellow once!
Dropping them on stage is a pain! You'll never find it!!
Been using 1.0mm standard nylon picks for 20 year ++. These are the best. Same sound and feeling as the standard, but with much better grip. My new favorite picks.
