DW PDP 14"x6,5" Steel BN

I am amazed at the sound of this snare. The build is robust and professional (and yes, that's an original DW MAG throw off, in case you were wondering). Have only had it for a week, but am completely in love with the punch, clarity and flexibility in tuning. The "DW by Remo" batter head is perfectly decent and there's no need to change it, but I've replaced that with a red Evans Hydraulic; it gives me more punch, is easier to tune, and I can live with losing a little, not too much, expression.

Best purchase this year, strongly recommend.
