I tried
well, this is the first time I tried a taper wound B string, and the last, Don't like the lower tension and it looks like it could break at any moment. The sound is the same as with a regular wound B string.

Great quality and sound, beware if you have an extra long scale Bass, for me it's still about a cm too short even if threaded from top
