To me this is the best Epiphone Les Paul you can get, and probably the best value for money guitar by Gibson / Epiphone. Collaboration with Gibson Custom Shop brought Gibson Burstbackers 2 & 3, with premium electronics and nut.
Sonically you get the classic, deep, throaty sound of PAF pickups, beautiul dynamics, and a wide range of control on the pots. Turning down volume cleans up the sound nicely, without losing much range. No matter if you want it clean, crunchy or soaring leads - this guitar really sings.
I love the chunky 50s neck, nice thick piece of wood. I like the satin finish, it makes the guitar look different to most LP-style instruments, though some would prefer it glossy.
The only small downside is fretwork - unfortunately the frets are uneven, which doesn't affect playability, but makes bending a little less pleasant than it should be. And my guitar came with a loose volume knob, though thats only a problem with the knob not pot.
The hardshell case you get with the guitar is looking nice and sturdy, plus the pink plush finish on the inside is lovely.
