First of all I would like to state, that the instrument itself is very nice both in terms of the sound and craftsmanship. The pickups are good, the elaborate electronics work as intended and provide a wide array of usable sounds. I cannot find any paint defects or sharp frets either.
However, the instrument for anyone not familiar with setting up guitars and basic luthier stuff is completely unplayable out of the box - the strings are set way too high (more than 3,5 mm at 12th fret), the neck desperately needs a shim to achieve appropriate string break angle at the bridge and any kind of playable action. The strings that the guitar came with are 9's which is another misunderstanding, as coupled together with a short scale they feel loose like spaghetti and require much attention not to be bent out of tune when playing chords. A change to 11's or even 12's is a definitive improvement, plus they add more tension to the bridge saddles improving tuning stability when using the vibrato.
It is a real shame, that an otherwise solid instrument does not receive adequate attention at the factory, requiring the customer to spend a considerable amount of time eliminating very obvious setup mistakes or having to pay a guitar tech to prepare the instrument for them.
It would be fine if the guitar was priced around 100 euros, but at this price point one would expect something more looked after.
