Impressed Logic Pro User
I bought this on sale, figuring it was an acceptable deal. I wanted to try something other than Logic, so here I am. I didn‘t expect to be as happy with it, though!
As with any software this complex, there is a learning curve. I found it a bit frustrating at first, but after 3 weeks, I‘m moving right along.
Fender Studio Pro has much to commend. The workflow, once adjusted to, is quite easy. The ‚drag and drop‘ feature for virtual instruments and fx is nice. Setting the metronome to a drum beat is cool. The bundled instruments are decent, as are the fx. The Mustang amp sims are ok, some (the Fender amps) are better than others.
The thing that impresses me most about it is it handles some virtual instruments better than Logic Pro, which has an issue sometimes with one computer core spiking and causing glitches and dropouts. And this is with a Mac Studio 4 Max! This hasn‘t happened to me once in Studio Pro. There is a dedicated drum editor, and there are templates for various well-known drum vsts that can be downloaded.
I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase, and will likely stay with this DAW.
