This pick up fulfils all the required criteria - fitting was simple enough, requiring modest use of a chisel and a steady hand, drilling a hole and soldering the cable. Job done in half an evening. When plugged in to an amp, the guitar tone was full and expressive. The input could be cranked up without feeding back. No other adjustment was necessary. An excellent pick up at a reasonable price.

Great pickup but have had reliability issues

Probably the best sounding pickup when used in conjunction with the Jerry Douglas Fishman Aura Pedal.
A very convenient and great sounding set up and easier to control than a mic, although a mic is obviously the better sound
I have this pick up on all of my dobros.

The only complaint is I've had pick up failures twice so replacements were needed.
Installation of these pickups is far from straight forward and requires professional luthier Installation (as it replaces the entire bridge and string slots need to be cut) so it has cost me quite a bit to have replacements fitted to my guitars.
That said, none of my dobro colleagues have had any issues so maybe I've just been unlucky.
But I would definitely recommend this pickup in conjunction with the associated Jerry Douglas pedal.
