We bought the advanced also and were able to compare. This one also gives you several ways to listen or play along, or just use the music. The sheets come out or easily sit on a music stand if I remember correctly, but the most memorable was the choices on this level kept my son (and I) who play engaged in the pieces which are rich and beautiful. The level seemed appropriate. We had water damage and will replace this one for sure - so definitely a keeper!
