Genalex Gold Lion 12AX7

Just installed these in a 68CVR and wow, instant difference. I thought the amp sounded great with the stock tubes until I installed the Genalex reissues. It's hard to describe but the words sharper, twangy/bright but not ear shattering, almost like it was missing 2 preamp tubes previously but now it's firing on all 6 kinda thing. Expensive but worth it.

Worth every penny! Very articulate, clear and very quiet. Think it depends on your style, if this would be worth the money for someone. For me it works perfectly but I play straight into a blackface 1965 Fender Vibrolux Reverb, use my fingers (no pick) and use no pedals. I have a very clean natural sound with as much headroom as I can get. If you use pedals and like more break up maybe another tube would work just as well and for less money. But this tube is definitely fantastic for me and worth the extra money.

Very good if you like very loud crystal clear sound but it's not amazing if you expect to replace the sound of the Vox AC30C2 original tubes

This is not the end I'll be all of tubes. It may not be what you're looking for. But if you're looking for a strong and clear sound, this is it. It may be too clean sounding for some.

for a Marshall 100W preamp they make too much noise (hum) and they feedback at volume 5. I will go back to GT or Mesa.

Good, but too hot for my liking.

After replacing the tube on my amp, the guitar sound became amazingly clear and detailed. It's incredible and high quality. I recommend it to everyone.

Works as it should.

Was first replacement for Fender Supersonic, Works fine for some time now.
