Definite improvement
I bought this to upgrade my 10 year old second-hand RØDE K2. The initial valve sent by Thomann didn't work but their customer service was great and they immediately sent a replacement without any hassle.
After installing the new valve there is an immediate improvement in sound quality. Most noticeably the noise floor is much lower, with the lower digital "noise" of the native valve totally gone. At the same time I find the deeper vocal notes have a richer sound and the overall breadth of sound recorded is better.
Very happy with my purchase and I'd definitely recommend.
