Good set of strings
So I basically got these to throw on my Gretsch, I needed a heavier string gauge to compensate for the low output pickups. As a rhythm player, these have done the trick for me ! A nice clean yet warm tone and didn't need to change them after one gig (just a good wipe down to get all that gunk/sweat off).
I'll definitely go for these again !

They can take a beating...
I use these strings for mostly Death Metal and a lot of down strokes. They have a good lifespan even though I hit the strings fairly hard, so using them for this purpose is great. I have not used these strings for any other type of music so I can only reference them when using a lot of distortion.
LTD EX400BD -> Duncan Distortion -> Axe Fx II is the signal chain and it sounds good.

Great for D-Drop tune
I use these for D-Drop and the tone is great.

not bad value.
These string are fine and not bad value. However when compared to some similarly priced strings from Daddario I think the later has the edge. But if you change your strings regularly and want to save a euro or two these are fine. I had no breakage and the tone was fine.

Maybe the guitar..
Because we play often with dropped tunings in our band, I ordered one set of the 12-52 strings to try them.
In regular case I use the 11-50 from the same brand (GHS).
The tuning is dropped C.
Last time I restringed my guitar, I took the 12-er strings, but was not able to adjust my guitar to get a sound without clashing of the dropped C-string.
Im not a beginner and know my guitar really good, but it simply didnt work.
The other guitarist in our band plays them everytime in the same tuning and is happy, so, I think my guitar is simply not made for this strength of strings!
Therefore i would recommand, that you order one set for the first time, to check that the strings are compatible with you guitar and then order more for personal stock.
The Quality and packaging of the GHS boomers was very good as usual.
Therefore they get 5 stars,

Reasonable strings
Tried these one. They seemed fine and behaved exactly the same and all the other makes I've tried.
