Gibson SJ-200 Original VS

I am comparing this to my SJ-200 Pre-war with LR Baggs Anthem. It’s pretty worn after only 18 months gigging.
I couldn’t justify another high end Gibo so went for the SJ-200 Original. This all maple 🍁 and has a flatter neck, same width which I really like for finger picking. The biggest surprise for me is the sound. I play acoustic with drums and bass and the new maple cuts through the sound much better. This has the LR Baggs VTC pickup and I was anticipating an Anthem install but the VTC through my UA DelVerb sounds absolutely stunning. 🙏❤️

I am extremely impressed and very happy with this purchase and always confident dealing with Thomann’s online. I highly recommend the SJ-200 Original knowing that in less than a year this will look and sound like the 1957 and the Murphy labs model (haha) 👍⚡️
