Gretsch Strml Jet Clb Bass WLNT STN

Pros:
* Electronics are good for a budget bass
* Body, fretboard, headstock, fretwork and neck are all excellent for a budget bass. Neck is especially good
* Single-Coil pickups are very good and low noise level
* very light and extremely ergonomic

Cons
* machine heads are poor. I replaced mine with more expensive ones and it improves the bass immensely
* knobs are cheap plastic. They pop off easily with a spoon so I replaced mine with black metal ones that look great
* I'm nit picking with this one as the bridge is absolutely fine. It's cheap and cheerful and does its job well. But I'm considering upgrading the bridge with a heavier mass alternative. But that's a personal choice and probably unnecessary.

Overall a very solid bass and ideal out of the box to gig with if your budget is around the €400 mark. For an extra investment of €100 you can upgrade this good bass to a great bass in my opinion.
