Harley Benton Nashville Nylon Plus Black

Whilst this guitar is well made and beautiful to look at, it doesn't work for me as a daily guitar because it is totally unbalanced in terms of it's weight distribution. It's really head heavy. The headstock wants to hit the floor and the body doesn't stay in a playable position.

It's got its good points - the slimline body, full access right up the neck that electric guitarists will love but combined with the silky smoothness of nylon strings, which gives it a dreamy sound and opens up a whole new palette of possibilities.

The only ways I can think of to deal with the head heaviness would be to clip the body end of the strap to your belt or use a weighted strap with about a half kilo of lead sown in at the lower bout end.

Really the company should issue a factory recall and add a lead lining to the bottom of the lower bout.

It's definitely going on eBay sometime soon (not gonna say any of that in the advert though).

I bought this guitar, because I did not have a nylon string guitar. And this is a very interesting guitar. HP makes also much cheaper nylon string guitars I was looking at, but I'm glad that I bought this one. Worth every cent.

It sounds great unplugged. It is sort of in between electric guitar and classic. Very light and easy to play. The neck is perfect and there are no sharp fret ends. No intonation problems and no bussing, anywhere on the neck. And yes it sounds nice into my amp.

And this is a very beautiful guitar.

You can't go wrong with this one. At least my copy is perfect for my needs.
