Höfner HCT-500/2-BK Club-Bass
Service was as always fantastic from Thomann. Love the hofner and the quality I think is great. It is the contemporary so is heavier than the icon But I like that. I havent changed the strings for flatwound just yet as I like the roundwound. With the treble pick up off it has a great full sound. All round very happy and good price. Im looking at the Harley Benton HB-60 WB Now ;-) K

nice light weight bass
I have about 195-210 gigs a year. Needed a light weigh bass cause my back was killing me. This is so light! Looks great and surprisingly sounds great! Changed the strings to a bigger gauge for fuller sound and put a Kala thumb rest.

Bought to replace one that I always regretted selling some years ago, this bass was every bit as good as I remember from my old sunburst version. Quality sound from the German electrics combined with a superb finish combine to make this a keeper. My only gripe is that it comes strung with round wounds, but these were soon replaced with flats .
