The cheapest pro ampless solution
I’m an amp guy, not really interested in effects. A good amplifier doesn’t need additional effects in my understanding, just plug and play.
Of course I was sceptical, watched multiple YouTube videos where some dudes tried to explain why I should buy the cheaper Chinese competitor, why the open source NAM is the future, etc… I’ve tested the recommended products and finally bought the Tonex One. They were all wrong. If you are playing live, don’t let yourself to be fooled, buy decent stuff, not toys.
This thing is road ready from the box. Easy to tweak in action, works like a real amp, sounds close enough to a real amp. And there is a huge professional network behind it with professional studios that take time to make the best captures possible. Buy your favourite amp for 20 euros and don’t waste time on searching for tones. That’s cork sniffing. All your heroes based their art on a few tones, right ?
If you like data to be convinced then find something in this price range that does have 24-bit/192 kHz converters, 123 db dynamic range. This thing is incredibly cheap! And it’s made in Italy ;)
To be fair, I have to write the cons too. The usb could be on the side or on the top, it’s very inconvenient to have the cable where your foot is while pressing the switch. The rubber cover of the usb is not attached to the box, I’m sure I’ll lose it soon.
