Excellent Rat!
This JHS pedal is amazing! I like all the different Rat circuits and there couldn't be a better option for me.
If you like RAT type distortion pedals, there's no better pedal for that. It's really great sounding and versatile (in RAT type range). Awesome.

All the Rats!
Was looking for a new distortion pedal and was not dissapointed. Goes great after my JHS Bonsai and the different mode offer a wide array of tones to tinker with. Great fun!

This is a great pedal, I can create so many tones from lightly driven to utter chaos. The variation between the different styles is amazing and JHS has done a great job capturing the rat versions.
I have a collection of rat clones so this is a great addition.

Not my Rat
Very smart concept, here we have the whole Rat evolution. But I had to return it, cause there were a few things I didn’t like. First, the volume differences among the 9 modes are abysmal, it’s annoying while being on stage. Second, switching from one mode to another makes a loud noise. Third, the “filter” knob works clockwise on some modes and counterclockwise on others, and that is a real dealbreaker for me. Also, I found myself needing more tweaking options. Anyway, felt like this is the pedal you want to fiddle with for a week, before deciding which Rat you really want. Or maybe this is meant to be a great studio tool. Unfortunately it doesn’t belong on my touring pedalboard.
