Jody Jazz Tenor DV NY 7 Mouthpiece
Optisch sehr schönes Metall - Mundstück mit außergewöhnlich langer Bahnlänge welche bis über der Mitte des Mundstückes offen ist. Sehr tiefe Kammer.
Die Bahnöffnung beträgt 2,67 mm.
Das Mundstück bringt einen sehr hellen, scharfen Ton in den Höhen. Die Flageolett - Töne kommen sehr exakt.
Die Mitte bringt ebenfalls einen exakten hellen Ton hier ist
die Ansprache sehr gut.
Leider sprechen die tiefen Töne vom tiefen E abwärts nur sehr schwer an obwohl mein Tenor neu gepolstert wurde.
Der Preis ist überzogen.
Fazit: Schönes Mundstück in toller Verarbeitung mit hellem, kräftigen Sound aber die Ansprache in den Tiefen könnte besser sein.

Il secondo DV NY
Possiedo già una imboccatura identica ma di apertura maggiore (8*) che è la mia principale per tenore. Ho preso questo 7* per studiare stancandomi meno e sono soddisfattissimo.

Test gegen mein vorhandenes Mundstück
Ich habe nach einem Metallmundstück gesucht, welches einen schönen dunklen Klang hat. Im Moment spiele ich das Jody Jazz Custom Dark. Da der Klang sehr ähnlich war, ging es zurück an Thomann danke für Money back

Versitile and great sound!
It took quite some effort to find a metal mouthpiece that’s suits me.
Thank you Thomann for giving me the opportunity to try several brands and designs.
I was looking for a more powerful, projecting (with a higher baffle) mp at first, but learned I’m not comfortable with those. I get a harsh tone and squeaks quickly. This is personal of course, obviously other saxophonists play well on them. Eventually the Jody Jazz DV NY (7*) appears to work very good for me. It took me a short period to get used to it and then I was even surprised how well my saxophone can sound! Also its versatility is very appealing. Besides a warm sound, when pushed and with certain reed types you can also make it sound quite fierce! I feel the favourable descriptions of its capabilities and sound you find on the internet (even Jody’s) are not exaggerated.
(funny, for me it's clearly higher class than the Vandoren metal and lower notes come out fine)
