The arm you need for Drum OH
So I was looking for a good pair of mic stands to use as drum OH.
Deciding to buy this arm and matching it with the K&M 20150 Microphone stand was the best decision I ever made.
I mounted the Se electronics SE 4400A microphone and fully extended the arm and it was solid and stable. The extra counterweight that is included with the arm definitely did its job and the capstan really kept the arm tightly in position.
If you are looking for drum OH and you need a long telescopic arm with a stable base then this arm with the K&M 20150 stand is your best choice at that price.

I should have bought this years ago.
I'm using this K&M 25530 boom arm on a K&M 201A/2 Chrome tripod to hold a Rode NT1 mic. Very happy with the purchase. Never again will I struggle to stop the boom from sagging.
The boom can be extended to well over a meter, though the extension becomes a bit wobbly with a heavy mic at maximum extension.
An excellent choice if you either need to hold a medium weight mic (e.g. Shure SM58) at over a meter extension (keyboard players / drum overheads), or a heavier mic with a reasonable up to about a meter extension (guitar / vocal / anything else).

Pretty good
a little flexible in the top section, but this is a very useful item. The counterbalance might be a little light, but this is all about compromise. Very useful!

Great for heavier mics!
Quality. Make sure to pair it with a sturdy base - the arm itself is quite heavy.

The right arm to hold load at half meter or longer
I use it to hold a mirrorless camera in an upside down setup. It's a bit shaky, but it works. Looks good also for a microphone or small light.
Microphone arms like this have a total length in description, but it's deceptive. It's not possible to use them at full length because the joint might be unstable under the tipping force even with low load.
At load of 0.5 kg or more and at distance of 50cm or more a longer arm extending backwards and a counter-weight are really necessary.

The best thing I never knew I needed
As a kb player, the boom arm of my stand is always extended to the max. This often made for unstable situations, but with this boom I can put any mic in front of my mouth without having to worry about it tipping during the show.
I'm sure there are other situations where this boom will come in handy.

Good solution for heavy microphones
Good price good quality for heavy microphones, maybe it could be a bit
stronger, but totally usable. U can have stronger stands but if You are using it carefully than it will hold your heavy tube microphones for the end of time

A must have for the studio
I love it. I would loved it more if it were heavier and thicker/more robust. Overall, it's perfect for the studio when using a heavy-duty mic.

A useful upgrade
A great upgrade for a standard boom mic stand or to fix up one that's a bit tired. Upgraded my K&M standard for use with overheads and heavier mics. Then spare boom then mounted on a Millennium stand that had trouble standing to attention; 2 solid stands for the bargain.

Does the job
Using this for a dual overhead mic setup for my drums. Holds the weight of the mics, the gooseneck and the stereo bar. Might need an additional weight for heavier mics.
