Not as advertised, sadly
These were advertised as basically roundwounds with a flatwound feel. First impressions is that they feel nothing like flatwounds, more like kinda dirty, waxy, old roundwounds, essentially making them very slow-playing roundwounds that my fingers stick to.
I’m looking forward to trying them more, there’s absolutely some quality here. It just baffles me why they would advertise them as something they’re very clearly not. They’re fun strings… just not what I thought they would be.

Sound awesome
They sound incredible, really singing higher up the fretboard.
They are nowhere near as smooth feeling as advertised, they are essentially round wound strings, and I would probably say not as smooth feeling as nickel coated strings.
So not entirely what I was expecting but they’re still brilliant

Great allround strings
Beeing a huge IMA-fan, I bought these strings for allround use on my Yamaha TRBX505. They live up to my expectations as great allraound strings; Sounds not too bright, not too dark - like great sounding dead roundwounds. Feels more like a smooth semi-flat. I don't find them harsh or sticky at all. Great for both fingers, pick and slap.
