Beautiful Cymbals
I wanted some darker lower pitched crashes compared to my Zultan rock beats, which often overpowered the vocals in smaller rooms. I was looking at getting Zildjian K Customs, but the rich, dark and slightly trashy sound of these was too enticing.
They project well, and fit all styles of music. I use them for metal, funk, pop and trad. They fit them all nicely whilst not overpowering the other instruments. The bow of the cymbals aren't fit for riding, with hardly any stick definition but when struck lightly they have a beautiful deep sound, and when played with power they open up into a loud but still warm tone. The manufacturing of the cymbals is to a high standard as you would expect with the price, with the cymbals themselves having no small nicks or dents as you might get with cheaper ones. The only thing to note is the 18" Dual crash has a tiny spot on the lathed part where some raw finish still remains, personally I quite like the look of it, but it's worth noting.
Overall I'm very happy with them, the 20" crash especially has incredible tone with the heavy hammering. I'd highly recommend them if your looking for thin dark cymbals with a slightly trashy tone.
