Great effect shaker

This shaker has two chambers which are separated by a plastic membrane (red). By covering and uncovering the sound hole, a "wah-wah" effect can be achieved by the motion and/or stroke of it. This shaker is capable of making all sorts of sounds (covering the hole, holding it upright or on its side etc). To be honest this is a very clever design and you can get a lot of unusual sounds out of it but its not made to be played with loud music or without mics. In a nutshell this shaker is good for a studio recording setting but probably not for a live situation. To me this is a great addition to my percussion toys arsenal, but I tend to use it more as an effect toy than as a shaker.

Parece mentira que un shaker tan pequeño saque posibilidades de sonido tan amplias según mueves, golpees o tapes el hueco del que dispone.

Contentísima con la compra, mejor relación eficacia-precio, imposible.

Ein Shaker mit Gimmick

Der Meinl Wah Wah Shaker machte mich Anfangs nur durch seinen Namen aufmerksam.

Ich bestellte ihn dann kurz nachdem er rauskam und hab das bis heute nicht bereut. Er ist sehr handlich könnte allerdings für sehr große bzw. dicke Finger schon fast zu zierlich sein. Für mich passt er perfekt. Ein wenig geübt und schon erzeugt der kleine Shaker eine ganze Menge unterschiedliche Sounds. Gerade das Abdecken des Lochs an der Oberseite und das öffnen bei Kicks gibt eine vollkommen neue Dynamik und vor allem neue Sounds. Öffnet man beispielsweise bei einer Vorwärtsbewegung das Loch kommt ein fast "Sidestick"-ähnlicher Sound raus. Ich vergleiche es immer mit einem normalen Schlag auf der Snare und einem Rimshot.

Ein tolles Teil für wenig Geld.

Le petit shaker sympa à emporter partout. La modulation de son est vraiment convaincante et très ingénieuse :) Je m'en sers en accompagnement rythmique à l'harmonica ou en mode soirée-apéro (avec l'effet wah-wah, succès garanti auprès de vos potes zicos) Par contre, petit shaker = petit volume. Faites également une croix sur le logo Meinl, juste peint sur une surface très lisse et qui a commencé à se barrer après 5mn d'utilisation :/ Au final, une petite percu originale et surtout très ludique !
