When I unexpectedly found myself needing a stand to hold my Boss GT001 during live work, I adapted this device for use. It has worked well enough in this role. I have no complaints. It has only dumped the unit to the floor once, and that was because I wasn't holding it while loosening the apparatus.

Pros: It's adjustable. Will hold things it's not designed for. It held my Amazon Fire 10" tablet very well when I used it a couple of times.

Cons: It can be a little tricky at first to figure out how to mount a tablet, but it works well once you figure it out.

I have used this for a couple of years now, and it has served me well.

I have had a lot of these in my time. My advice. Buy one and give it it's own independant stand. This will take my laptop! Or my Ipad. It's made of solid stuff and the extra bracket is metal and also very sturdy. I like the design of the threaded locators. they are large and easy to handle. It's versatile and I don't envisage having to buy another any time soon (unless someone pinches it...as quite a few people have looked enviously) In fact I have loaned it to several people already. :)
