Neutrik NC3 MD-L1

Good quality socket that fits well with my neutrik connectors and helps my band to keep our setup and teardown times short.
The soldering pins are easily accessible, which as a downside sacrifices protection of the soldier points. To be perfectly safe against unwanted short ciruiting due to e.g. a random wire dropping into your rack, protect all exposed copper strands and soldier pins with shrink tubes.

As expected from Neutrik, strong, hefty and without fault, even when in service for an extended period of time.

This Neutrik panel mount variant has rather thin hollow pins, which won't last long when inserted not exactly angled right. Go for solid pins when you care about making these last.

As expected, this socket is great, as promised by the Neutrik name. Fits well into standard D-Type panel cuttouts, and has countersunk screw fittings, meaning it can be mounted either on the "front" face or "back" face of the panel, depending on your requirment.

Connectors are good quality and easy to solder.

The solder buckets are large and sturdy enough - these are easy to work with. You'll need some M3 screws and nuts to hold these onto a panel, as they don't come with any.

I use it on my pedalboard for guitars and voice. Good heavy use unit

The usual Neutrik quality which includes each of use - easy to solder, unsolder and resolder if required.
Bigger and chunkier than typical male XLR sockets so check size carefully before purchasing as a replacement.

Neutrik. All that needs to be said. There is no better manufacturer for connectors.

The best XLR socket on the market. I have been using Neutrik products now for years and never had any problems with them. Very solid and well made products. I still use Neutrik sockets that I've had for over 10 yrs and they are still going strong.
