I use this to connect my Rode K2 amp to my SPL preamp as it is only a short distance so naturally I only need a short cable.
In the past I have used expensive cables like planet waves but it definitely holds up and I feel no loss in quality.
if you need a short simple cable to stay put I would highly recommend

I bought six of these XLR cables, and none of them would lock properly. The latch mechanism on all of them failed to engage, leaving the connections loose and prone to disconnecting. I expected better quality, especially since locking is a key feature of XLR cables. It was frustrating to have all six cables with the same issue, making them unreliable for any serious use. Definitely disappointed with this purchase.

I like the pro snake cables, very well made and wrapped in rounds not folded like a lot of other brands so I don't have kinked cables on the hangers which is great. Small niggle is the amount of heatshrink used as a strain relief from the rear of the XLR connector, this could be reduced a little as it becomes a bit cumbersome in use.

I often need a short XLR cable to connect some wireless receivers with audio mixer. This one is perfect for this. Good quality connectors, cable is well shielded and I'm overally pleased with my purchase.

Good little cable that I got as part of the Shure SM7B bundle. Comes in handy for my home studio - has a nice little cable strap on it.
The connectors are some asian brand, but they look good and sturdy.

Very good as a patch cable in my studio

Connectors are decent and can be taken apart for maintenance, cable is thick but still plenty flexible. Can't ask for much more at this price.

For the price these pro snake cables are practically the next best thing to making your own
