Not For Jimi's Fans
The quality of these strings is impeccable as all Pyramid products, but the sound is too modern for my ears and stiff compared to pure nickels. The touch feels a little more rigid, so they may go better for low and very low actions. I couldn't bring out the vintage nature of my Strat type guitar, but I bet they will sound better with heavily distorted sounds and add clarity to humbuking pickups. In the end, I went back to the other Pyramid Hendrix set with no regrets.
