Roland A-88 MKII

Pros:
- Nice feeling keybed
- Nice and compact design
- Fits well in studio table or home studio set up
- Feels durable

Cons:
- Keybed is almost too heavy, definitely on a heavy side
- Confusing user manual that does not explain anything
- Pads are not really useful as pads (not sensitive, too hard)
- No real modulation wheel (pitch/mod stick is fine though)
- Apart from 8 knobs and a pitch/mod stick, no useful functionality

We are huge fans of Roland and we do own the Roland Fantom G6, FA08 and we are also huge fans of the Roland Cloud Ultimate Edition.
When my son wanted to have his studio in the UK, we did a lot of research to choose the most advanced 88 Key, Hammer Action and a Great Feel MIDI Controller and we ordered the Roland A88-MKII. The board feels solid and gives a great feel and playability. Implementation of MIDI 2.0 is a huge step forward!!!
