Schaller Stop Tailpiece N

I have never had a Schaller product that I was not happy with. They make high quality products that aren't that expensive. This tailpiece is no exception. The plating, although not perfect, is of a very high standard that is unrivaled in this price range. It is very well polished and appears to be made to pretty strict tolerances. As far as I know, this is a cast brass tailpiece so it is not as light as the more expensive aluminum alternatives. The only tailpieces better than this are the ones machined from solid bell brass. They're much more durable and are said to produce more harmonic overtones and increase sustain. The problem is, they cost nearly twice as much as this one...
