This is an excellent kit. The mic itself and the grip/tripod is very good build quality, and recording quality is clearly much better than that of the built in mic on my iPhone 14 Pro. Coupled with the many settings in the app, I’ve been able to use this kit in many different settings with great results. I do wish the cable is longer, but it’s not a big issue for me. The official longer replacement cable is unfortunately way too expensive. The only real issue I see is that there’s no good way of charging the phone while having the mic connected except for going through a few hoops.

I bought this to record outdoors while capturing video. The sound and build quality is really great for the price, and all the accessories that come with the kit are very handy. The apps for the mic (separate audio + video apps) allow you to change polar patterns, adjust gain, compression etc, and you can save your own custom presets.

I haven't seen anything quite like this mic/kit on the market, it's a no-brainer for portable smartphone recording

Good recording quality with easy setting.
I connected Android smartphone and recorded with Shure app. The app has many function to select suitable microphone setting.
Sometimes the microphone provided some noise with higher gain setting. So, users should check the sound quality using your headphone and should control gain to get the best sound.

Great stable stand and pretty decent quality mic for recording jams or even verbal setting

All the accessories you need are in the box. Great app from shure for both video and audio recording. Easy to use for both instrument and voice recording. Highly recommend.

if you want to use the mic just with the phone and be flexible it's a problem. The cable goes in but then you can't hold the mic. It dangles and it's clumbsy. And the cable is to short to really use with a mic stand unless it's very close to the stand.
