Sadly is sticky on both sides.
Beside I use them on my toms, I still have to use cotton balls inside to control the overtones.
Probably not worth to buy it.

Ok but lose drum tone a bit...

I bought these Gel pads and also a set of Millennium Sound Control Rings which are half the price for my new studio kit in a smallish room - my view if the rings really take out unwanted tones whilst leaving the drums crisp and vibrant whereas the gel can over damp and leave the drums a bit flat. I am sure this varies by kit and actually on my snare, one gel pad with a control ring sounds great but I have not used them on the cymbals (used Cympad Moderators instead) or Toms (just control rings).

A personal thing I know but hope it helps someone...

Also seems expensive for a bit of mass produced squidgy gel but suppose packaging etc takes a bit too... hence dropped a star for value.

Works great!

I love how it easily gets rid or unwanted overtones but doesn't change the tone of the snare. I use it for live and studio. My only complain would be that it very easily collects dust and requires often cleaning.

I use this pads for my snare and floor toms! They do great job!
I use clear ones, so they are invisible on clear drum heads. :)

The 6 gel pads are very discreet, simple, and effective. Depending on where you put it on the head, it damps more or less harmonics. After many uses, it still sticks pretty good.
Nothing to complain about !

Nice gels

Great gels for damping. Love their transparancy and the fact that they don't stick together inside the packaging. Lovely size too. Just got them so don't know how they hold up under extreme heat yet; my Moongels somewhat melted right there on the drumhead.

Just brilliant

Works super well on either toms, snares or cymbals.
If not, just put 2 of them or cut them in half and lay 1 and an half.
Bought more than one set for 2 drum kits and after some months the first set still holds its properties. Just washed it once to remove the dust.

It's better than rings on the snare for playing with brushes.
It's way more natural than tape and can be easily ajusted.

Best Gel Dampers for this price. Cheaper than Moongel and much better in my opinion. Also the clear one is cool because almost you don't see it on your drums when you are playing :) Thank you SkyGel & Thomann!

Much better that the moongels

I liked these much more than the moongels. They stick to the head better, easier co carry around, and it gives slightly more muffling, which I like.
Definitely will order another pack.
