Nice big clarity
API is the big clear American sound and this does it very well. Console 1 was a “where have you been my whole life” addition and getting API for it along with the others was nice. This has a fairly average transient designer included. But the whole strip seems nothing special until you step back and compare the overall tone of it to other options. The Lindell seems a bit flat and the UAD overly polished, this Softube emu sounds great, has little CPU or latency. If you care about overall tone just do it.
