Sound Devices MX-Hirose

I've purchased this sled just because I wanted to prolong life of my old and trusty MixPre-6 mk I which has its USB-C slot damaged beyond repair. I used USB-C mostly for powersupply. I thought to myself: maybe MX-Hirose is overpriced but it may have the same quality as other Sound Devices equipment and accessories. I was wrong. The plastic smell bad (even tho I use MX-Hirose for 3 months daily now). It is hard to place adapter into powering slot which I have to do a lot to get into the SD card. Overall look and comfort of use is poor. MX-Hirose looks more like a cheap know-off which I would buy if there was one; it wouldn't be any worse.
