Studio Projects C4 MkII

I bought these after hearing good reviews and finding no negative info about them online. I was also drawn in by the additional accessories like a stereo bar and the range of interchangeable capsules.

Upon first testing I found a clear problem with one of the cardioid capsules so I sent it back for an exchange. The exchange items are worse. Each capsule has a different level of noise with no obvious pattern to the problem - I tested them with multiple audio interfaces and recorders, multiple XLR cables and compared them to my own DIY stereo pair. Every test produced noise in one of the capsules and in some cases different levels of gain sensitivity. All my other mics were fine. I will be sending them back for a refund, I'm pretty disappointed!
