This kick pedal is a great little unit for the price.

It was easy to set up and adjust (with a regular drum key) and the tension felt great straight out of the box.

The chain drive felt really smooth and gave great transfer of power from the pedal to the beater.

The beater has both a felt and hard side to it (I recommend the hard side on an E-kit to reduce friction and heat build up on the mesh head).

This seems like a sturdy little pedal and is so good I've bought a second one for my practice kit.

Well worth considering.

Been using this for the last 3 years in a eletric yamaha dtx drumset, bought as my first pedal to start learning and has served me very well until now. only reason I am changing is for a direct drive double pedal to upgrade the set up
But defenitly will keep this bad boy as a backup

Switching from a generic pedal to this iron cobra made such a huge difference. Pedal itself is very smooth and can be adjusted, I can’t se myself switching to a new pedal anytime soon. I’ve had mine for 4 months and have found nothing wrong with it. Fantastic product!

I always wondered why my bass drum technique never managed to get better (I am a beginner). U

ntil I realized that the pedal could make a huge difference.

I had one of those that comes pre-packed with the drumset. Everytime I was in a drumming lesson, I would play better and couldn't really understand why as soon as I would get home, I would get "bad" again.

So I decided to buy this little fella.

Great buy. Solid, sturdy, greatly adjustable. No regrets!

Like the title of my review says: you can't go wrong with the Tama Iron Cobra. Drums are not my main instrument so I was looking for something middle of the road, trustworthy. I found it in this pedal. Build quality is fine, has all features one could reasonably expect from a kick pedal in this price range. The only downside is that it started squeeking quite soon, but that's nothing a few drops of oil couldn't fix.

In short: would recommend.

I’m use it almost 9 months and it work very well form first day sins now. + It is easy to play, when you moving pedal down, force what you have to use is the same in every position, so it’s well balanced and it’s easy to play with different amplitude and force. I’m use it with Roland KD10 and together its perfect.
I’m highly recommend it.
