Thomann E-Bass Gigbag BK

The gig bag is made out of solid materials, it can fit basically any long scale bass guitar with a traditional horned body shape. Two spacious pockets in the front are a huge advantage - they can easily fit two long instrument cords, a couple of effects, tuner and a power supply.
The bag could use a velcro strap inside to secure the neck though. Unfortunately, the padding in the lining is quite thin as well, but it's completely fair at this price point. The carrying straps are comfortable and placed high enough. It's very important for tall musicians as we often bump into the top of door frames with our bass necks when carrying the instrument on our backs.
All in all, I recommend the bag as a very affordable option.

I was well aware that I'm buying a very basic bag (and that I am skinny so I have almost no, let's say, "softening layer"), but I was unpleasantly surprised nonetheless. The shoulder straps have no filling at all (like literally no at all - they're simply a strip of material, period) making me question why bother adding them to a product if they can't be used (let's keep in our minds that this is a bag designed for a bass guitar). For travelling with a car the bag would probably be sufficient. I ordered a Fender FB610 instead and it does have a little filling there (I'd argue that it's still too little, but at least it's anything); or maybe I'm just too picky. I wish Thomann evaluated the "comfort of travelling with the bag on the back" and included in bag descriptions (and consequently in search filters).
