I can bet that if it's your first string purchase for your violin, you'll never be dissappointed. Some strings may be better for a particular instrument, but you will learn that after years of experimenting. Or you'll stick to Dominants forever. At least as your backup set of strings, just look at the price. It took just 6-8 hours of playing for the strings to settle down. You may speed up the process by bowing intensively near the bridge (grab the bow with both hands and let's go).
