Massive upgrade from a plastic MIDI controller
My pair of K3s just arrived today, completely replacing my old Akai MIDImix to run alongside a Push 3 Standalone. The difference in build quality is night and day — these are heavy, solid, and feel like proper club gear.
All the controls feel buttery smooth. Since the pots have no center detent, it'll take some time to get used to, or I'll figure something out.
I literally just unboxed them, so the real fun with custom MIDI mapping and figuring out the 16-color LED matrix is just beginning. But even at this early stage, the hardware potential is obvious. I can't wait to put them to the real test at a live gig."
