Slightly dryer than other Single ply heads

Aquarian texture coated heads are perfect for players that want an open full sound without too much overtones. They are very similar to Coated Emperors, but a little less "Wet" and do not require as much muffling to get your desired sound. The quality is excellent, no matter how many times you buy this head, the consistency is amazing, I have never got a dud head from the texture coated range.

Highly recommended.

Fantastic coating

I bought this drum head specially because of the coating and was instantly amazed when I pulled it out of the box. It feels really coarse and works fantastically with brushes, but when I apply my sticks they don't leave a mark. The sound was really great, and I was able to produce the vintage sound that I wanted and needed. There was no trouble tuning it, and it was ready in no time at all.
All in all I was very much satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone in need of a "ringy" vintage drum sound.

Gutes Fell, passt aber nicht auf alle Trommeln.

Nach längerer Zeit treuer Evans-Nutzung wollte ich mal wieder etwas neues ausprobieren. Das Einlagige Texture Coated von Aquarian sollte es sein.

Die Papp-Verpackung des Fells ist ziemlich einfallslos gestaltet und erinnert eher an ein Produkt aus dem Sanitätshaus als ein Schlagzeugfell ... aber ok, der Inhalt zählt.
Das Fell ist sauber verarbeitet, der Fellkragen ordentlich verschweißt, das coating ist tadellos und wirkt etwas dichter als bei vergleichbaren Fellen.

Das Fell lässt sich gut stimmen und klingt in einem ziemlich großen Umfang (sehr tief bis sehr hoch) erstaunlich gut. Das dichte coating sorgt für einen vollen, runden Sound für ein einlagiges Fell, das mag ich!

ABER:
Aquarian-Felle passen nicht auf alle Trommeln!
Zumindest Besitzer von Vintagedrums sollten aufpassen. Auf mein 60ies Pearl Set kann ich diese Felle einfach nicht über den Kesselrand stülpen. Zugegeben, Remo und Evans krieg ich auch nur gerade so drauf, aber die Aquarians eben gar nicht, die scheinen innen etwas enger zu sein.
Deswegen gibt's 2 Sterne Abzug.

Klanglich ansonsten topp. Profesionelles Fell zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis!
