Very inspiring instrument, not only a midi controller, but a full blown synth

Diosynth is different from many other wind instruments, that it's not only a 'midi controller', but a full blown synth, having some of the technology included which can be found in ASM Hydrasynth. This is very inspirational product, and one of the big thing is the librarian and editing software that lets to tweak no only the libraries and the order of the sounds, but to create your own sounds, add effects and layer sounds. The factory sounds are awesome and there are a lot of them, both 'analog' and digital sounds. And it's only a starting point. Handing was missing one start because this is the first iteration for ASM and the layout of the buttons is not optimal on some of the buttons. Also it slightly different from.ex. from real sax button layout, but then again this is emulating not only sax, but flutes as well. Also some additional function buttons are positioned so that I keep accidentally hitting them. But it's a matter of getting used to it. For my first try I ended up playing 4hr in a row, palying songs from Spotify and jamming along. A great product from a company that creates modern legends. Very pricy compared to many others (which are mostly only midi controllers), but the thing that costs is that you have a self contained synth inside, which you can play just with it's own speaker, or more preferably plugging in your headphones or connecting it to mixer/speakers.

Als jemand der mit Windsynths schon lange arbeitet und viele kennt und den Wx7 mit endorsed hat, finde ich es klasse, dass endlich ein Gerät auf dem Markt ist, das kaum Wünsche offen lässt, wenn es um professionellen Einsatz geht.
Die grosse Entscheidung für die meisten ist ob man für die Oktaven mit Rollen (EWI, Greaten, NuRad) oder Druckschaltern (Yamaha, Roland, Diosynth) arbeiten möchte. Das muss jeder für sich entscheiden, ich arbeite lieber mit Zweiterem und find selbige beim Diosynth durchaus gelungen, während bei der Konkurrenz ....
Ausser das die Menueführung etwas klarer sein könnte, finde ich die autarke Stromversorgung mit 9900 mAh Lipos etwas speziell, war nicht so einfach, selbige zu besorgen.
Interne Sounds sind immer ein Kompromiss, Sax find ich bis dato auf keinem Synth gelungen, während ich die anderen Woodwinds durchaus ansprechend finde, vor allem auch das editieren über die entsprechende App ist hilfreich.
Klar sein muss auch, wie jedes andere Instrument muss auch dieses geübt werden, ich begebe mich auf diese Reise und freue mich drauf.

Ich spiele hauptsächlich die Instrumente Trompete, Tenor Sax, Sopran Sax, Alt Sax, Klarinette, Flügelhorn, Keyboard und etwas Gitarre. Im Diosynth sind all diese Instrumente äußerst schlecht gesampelt. Wenn man das nicht kann sollte man sich bei Roland Infos holen. Spielt man einen Tonleiter über alle sinnvollen Oktave so sind gravierende Unterschiede besonders bei den Saxophonen und auch allen anderen Blasinstrumenten zu hören. Mittendrin dann mal total dünn und der nächste Ton übermäßig laut. Weiterhin ist die Tastatur absolut nicht identisch mit einer Saxophon Tastatur (Original Instrumente sind total anders). Mann vergreift sich total. Und das kann man auch nicht korrigieren nach 60 Jahren Saxophon spielen. Entweder man spielt das Diosynth mit 1000 Fehlern und lernt um und vergisst seine ganzen Instrumente, oder man schickt es ganz einfach zurück was ich hiermit tue. Der Synthesizer mag sein Geld vielleicht wert sein doch sind auch hier die meisten Instrumente nicht zum Spiel geeignet. Das ist mehr etwas für einen Sound Engineer und Entwickler von Klängen. Für mich allerdings ist der Klang des Instruments völlig unzureichend. Ich kann dieses Instrument absolut nicht empfehlen. Da ist das Roland AE20 Millionenfach besser!
Fazit: Wenn ich einen reinen Synthesizer als Bläser brauche kann man ihn vielleicht empfehlen. Für alles andere UNBRAUCHBAR!
