Essential for gigs and recording

I have long been a user of various speaker beam blockers. Having spent years playing live and finding my guitar really loud and shrill in front of the cabinet and then moving a few feet and finding I can no longer hear it all I made a plexiglass panel to stand in front of mt combo. It worked well but was always falling over or getting its stand broken. At this point I decided to go down the Clearsonic route. I went for the 3 panel design as I only use smaller combos now as 4 x 12's are too big and heavy for me to move around. The Clearsonic seems well put together and does the job perfectly. It was more expensive than my home made panel (but not by much!) and folds down nicely and seems to stand up fairly well. I'm hoping the hinges will soften up with use as bending them to make a 'U' shape they do feel a bit stiff. Overall I'm well pleased with the purchase and I'm trying to convince our drummer to buy a shield for his drums!

Does the job, but not built for the road

I bought two of these: one for the speaker side of my AC30, the other for the open back. To protect them during transport, I had a custom case made so they wouldn’t get scratched or damaged. They’ve been used for about half a dozen gigs, three of which were with that case.

When I opened the case before last night’s show, one of the hinges had completely cracked. A quick fix with gaffa tape got me through the night, but I’m disappointed that I already need to order replacement hinges and deal with repairs after such limited use.

Sound-wise, the panels do what they’re supposed to do, but the hardware doesn’t seem built to last.

Raz le bol des ingés son qui vous disent de vous baisser encore alors que vous êtes déjà deux fois moins fort que votre batteur ?
Simple et efficace, un paravent transparent en some. Il diminue sérieusement le volume de votre ampli en facade, ce qui vous permettra enfin de monter votre Master volume sans aucune crainte.
Bref, que du bonheur ;)

Gutes Shield für Combos

Ich bestellte mir das Shield für meinen Tone King Imperial, da in kleineren Clubs die Abstahlung manchmal zu stark sein kann. Das Material an sich ist perfekt, allerdings rutscht auf einem etwas glatten Boden das Shield aufgrund der Bässe vom Amp etwas. Wäre die Unterseide leicht gummiert, was man auch selbst machen könnte, wäre es etwas benutzerfreundlicher. Abgesehen davon:
Sehr gutes Shield und es tut seinen eigentlichen Dienst: Strahlverhinderung und der Klang breitet sich in einem kleinen Club noch etwas besser im Raum aus.
