I chose this model as I figure the more I can afford, the more room for my improvement without limitations from the bow. Of course this is not really expensive for a bow, but then I'm only amateur.

The bow looks very elegant, and seems to be well crafted. The stick is straight, the frog comfortable and well-aligned, and the hair is good after a liberal first rosin.

It is stamped with the name G. Werner, I am not sure of the relevance of this to the Dorfler company.

Anyway, after rosining up, the bow seems to be playable and the sound is musical, I feel that my skill is more a limiting factor than the bow, so that's positive.

Happy to continue my learning the German bow with this.
