this mallet is excellent not for gongs, bur for singing bowls and large harmonic tubes, because you do not hear any inconvenient additional noises resulting from the external material, which is soft. I highly recommend it also for tuning forks. the resonance is very clear and long standing, without unpleasant metallic noises.

Firm mallet for gentle play

This is a very versatile mallet that does wonders with the medium and smaller Wuhan gongs Thomann sell. It only needs a gentle hit and produces full spectrum clangs on the chinese gongs and bright balanced blooms on Paiste and other european gongs. My only concern is whether the fabric on the head will last but otherwise, a really great mallet. As Dragonfly don't publish stats, the head is 80mm diameter and it all weighs about 165g.

Brings out great tones

I saw someone using this somewhat unusual 'mushroom; mallet on gongs unlimited, and loved the sounds it produced. It hasnt disapointed. Great range. Usual great Dragonfly quality. In my top 3 favorite mallets (I have a lot)
