I'm not convinced by the Nano web coating on these strings. The last time I used the I found that it broke down and hung off the strings like loose snake shin. This caused buzzing when I played and they went into the dustbin long before I would have changed a normal set of strings. I was given a 4 string set of Elixirs and bought this one to try them again on my 5 string bass.No problems with the coating so far, but for me D'addarrio sound better

Long life for sure

I tried many other strings for my bass. I received with most all of them a great sound for 1-2 weeks. After a month the sound was always dead. With elixir strings after a year the sound is still clear. It is maybe a little bit expensive, but compared to the lifetime it is worth to buy.

jamais je n'ai trouvé yn Si grave aussi profond, sans bavure, et avec une bonne présence que sur cette corde Elixir! cela reste toujours un grand plaisir de voir ses doigts littéralement courir sur la corde, si douce grace à son traitement de surface. Aucune marque ne peut égaler ces cordes et pourtant en 30 ans de musique j'en ai consommé un bon paquet! merci Elixir ...

As cordas são simplesmente equilibradas.
Compensa pagar mais porque as elixir simplesmente duram muito mais do que outras marcas, sem perder os médios e agudos.
Nada contra...
