Ernie Ball Flats 2580

I bought these strings because I wanted .011 gauge with the G string wound (tho i picked them over pyramids because I like the colour of the packaging). These are my first flatwounds and I must say, it's exactly what I've been looking for. They play great and the wound G string isn't much harder to bend than a regular one, but the difference in tuning stability is night and day; especially on a les paul. The sound is amazing; it's rich and feels very old-timey, you can especially hear this on open chords where it almost sounds like an acoustic. If you play country, blues or rockabilly I strongly recommend these. The unwound strings feel very sturdy and give a mellow sound, the high E string feels thicker than my regular .011s but is just as bendable. These are overall probably the best strings I've ever had and I'm gonna make them my regulars for .011, definitely worth the price.
