Fender Body Alder P Bass AWT

Świetnie wykończony olchowy korpus, kolor to wcześniejsza wersja Arctic White i wygląda bardziej jak Fender American Professional II Precision Bass MN OWT :-)
Bardzo mi się podoba. Posiada minimalnie cieńszą warstwę lakieru na wykończeniu niż body w wersji standard z 2006 roku.

Dechę wymieniłem w Fender Precision Standard MIM 2006 (wersja 60-th Fender Anniversary) i po zmianie pickupów na Fender Original '62 bass brzmi w moim mniemaniu szlachetniej i jakby równiej tonowo :-)
Środkowe tony chrupią teraz wydatniej, no po prostu miodzio.

To be sure, even though the color is called arctic white, this P-bass body is very much cream colored (off-white). It's the white of the previous MIM P-bass Standard Series, not the current MIM P-bass Player Series. It's much more creamy than e.g. my old Squier CV Jazz Bass, which was called "Olympic White."

With that in mind, the color and the whole body is great! Installing was easy. A MIM Fender Player Series Jazz bass neck fits well, although not perfect, the gap between the neck and the body is a bit wider than I would have liked. This does not affect playability though, nor sound (I think), and the bass plays and sounds great.

Because of this body I was able to have a Fender P-bass with J-bass neck, which is what I always wanted. Recommended.

This P Bass body lived up to Fender standards. The color, Arctic White was a bit more creamy that I had expected. No problem, it is looking very well and I can't wait to mount it.
Wonder what the black stuff they put into the cavitiy is. It is not conductive and it would not let my copper tape stick. I always insulate the cavities with copper tape on my instruments to create a Farraday cage that prevents humming.
Now I wait for some conductive paint to arrive so I can complete my P Bass build.
